| This rink is in Ester, AK. It is 100 ft by 200 ft, which normally has an area just under 20,000 ft2 (1850 m2) but the outside edge has moved in a bit over the course of the winter so it is down to about 18,000 ft2 (1675 m2). This rink sees regular maintenance so the resurfacing in this video was routine. Start to finish, it took the Ice Dragon 80 minutes to resurface 18,000 ft2 for a rate of 13,500 ft2/hour in mild, springtime Alaska weather. I have resurfaced the full 20,000 ft2 of this rink many times at -25°F in under two hours. | |
