Below are some photos of the corrosion we found this month in the right wing. This is the reinforcing bracket between the front spar and wing skin. Note the 2 rivets that popped off while inspecting the area. It's an extruded part and I'm told this type of corrosion is the result of inconsistencies in the alloy, and most often seen in Cessna gear boxes. So the good news is it's most likely isolated to this one part. I'll update this with new photos and more info once we begin to repair it.
